Win XP is drive mapping disconnected virtual drives

Win XP is now drive mapping both my DVD drive and my floppy drive, both of which are "disconnected" and have a little red "X" on them. It did not do this before. The mapped, empty drives are, I think, messing up my file dialog boxes when I go to save something. Any ideas?
