    Hi!

I 've got into Automatic Repair loop almost every couple of weeks with Parallels 8 and Windows 8 64bit via Bootcamp.
Windows start by "Preparing automatic repairs", then "Diagnosing your PC" and then "Automatic Repair couldn't repair your PC. Press "Advanced options" to try other options to...... Log file: C:\Windows\System32\Srt\Srttrail.txt"

    SrtTrail.txt is always empty.

I have tried multiple clean installs, all Advanced options and troubleshooters, to no avail. I am on latest build of Parallels. The Windows 8 install is legit, no cracking involved.

    iMac 2011 21,5"
    10.8.4

Only way to repair the install is to Reset it, having to reinstall all applications afterwards.

This is, of course, ineffective and annoying. What can I do to rectify this problem?

    Thanks!

+1 for me, having the exact same issue. It seems to come from windows updating its software in its auto updates, which then screws up the windows installation for me on both Boot Camp and Parallels.

We can't be re-installing Windows each time, along with all the apps. Whats the workaround for this??

As long as Windows 8 goes "wrong" on BootCamp directly there is nothing much you can do on Parallels Desktop side. Parallels Desktop just helps to access your BootCamp partition so that you don't have to restart your Mac every time, but does not make any changes to Windows itself. I'd recommend to contact Microsoft Support since there is a potential hardware/software issue with Boot Camp.
