Here is my wishlist item for the Mac OS X version of Parallels:

I would like to have two VMs running at the same time and communicating with each other via a virtual RS232 connection.

In the real world I do this with two Linux PCs and a "null modem serial cable" (basiclly the TX and RX lines are crossed over). I would like to do this in Parallels on Mac OS X so I don't have to have use two PCs and all of that desk space to work on my serial project.

You can do it via sockets. At one VM you set a "server" socket and at other one "client" socket

I tried this in an earlier beta and it did not work. I posted about it but did not see any responses. Data moved in one direction (server to client, I think), but not the other. Has something been doe to fix this in later beta's?

Hmm.. Seems no, we do not touch anything there. We'll check that.

Has this been fixed in the newest release candidate version?
