Why isn't my WinXP C: drive getting mounted?

There are these two checkboxes in VM setup which is supposed to make it so the C: drive of my WinXP virtual machine gets mounted to the MacOS desktop, but this isn't happening for me.

My WinXP is sitting on a bootcamp partition, by the way.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Where are these two checkboxes you are referring to. Mine is working. Let me see if I can compare my setup to yours.

    Holy crap, thanks for replying!

The two checkboxes are under Edit Virtual Machine, Shared Folders. They are "Share Windows drives" and "Mount shares on Mac desktop".

And I used to have MacFUSE installed. I uninstalled it, hoping that this feature would be able to replace it, since I've seen stability problems with ntfs-3g (corrupted my filesystem a few times).
