Same problem here. I installed the access app the day it was announced and immediately upgraded to Parallels Desktop 9 because of the six month complimentary subscription offer. No luck. Parallels stopped working two weeks after the initial install with no mention of a "free" subscription.
I've sent two notes to support but have yet to hear from them.
EDIT: I finally heard from them last night. Didn't do any good, but I deleted Access from both the iPad and the Mac, rebooted both machines, reinstalled the Mac client, started it up, then reinstalled the iPad client and started it up. Still no 6 month subscription.
I let Parallels know that their fix failed and was told it was being bumped to second level support. However, I had to tell them the date and time of the purchase, as well as the email I used. Fortunately, I could get that info via PayPal.
EDIT2: Issue resolved. I have two emails on file with them. I installed the 2 week trial under the old email (which is also my forum ID), and purchased the Desktop upgrade under my main email. Thus the 6 month extension was linked to my purchase email, not the old email. Once support pointed that out, I switched emails on both server and client and everything worked just fine.
The joys of multiple emails.
