I have a Mac Air with OS 10.7.2 running Parallels 7 with Windows 7 with PC5250 to access AS/400. I get a PCSWS037 error (Initialization of the keyboard table failed) when I connect. And also get a PCSKBD110 error (The system keyboard is not supported) when I start my session. Can anyone help me fix this. It would be greatly appreciated.

Similar problem on MacBook pro with windows7, Parallels desktop 7

I have same error message on my MacBook pro. The 5250 session is not functional. Can't launch keyboard mapping program and keyboard for session doesn't respond. Closest thing I can locate in knowledge base is this. Haven't tried it yet.

Using the US-international keyboard and remapping the Enter key solved my problem. Not sure what others this might create but switching from US-Apple-Parallels keyboard to us-int seems to do the trick. No longer get the PCSKBD110 error or others.

Another alternative is to enable hotspots for function keys in 5250 screen. This makes each Fn key appear as a button you can press instead of needing keyboard. Finally, if you are an RDi or RDp user, you can download the Arcad software 5250 plugin for eclipse, but you have similar problems with keys for this.

    Thank You!

Rick - Thank you so much for your reply. I spent hours with the tech guy from Parallels on this issue and we were not able to solve it. I had all but given up and not checked for responses to my post, but today I checked. It now works great and I don't have to get the dreaded PC my company wanted me to have. Cheers!

I've tried everything except remapping enter. Apologies but how do you remap? Continuously getting Error PCSKBD110. Worked fine until one day...it didn't.

Same issue on Win8 Pro. Everything worked OK until I installed Parallels Tools. Then got the PCSKDB110 error.

My fix was very similar to the post by RickF. (many thanks)

Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Language > Options
Under Input Method, both US and US(Apple)- Parallels were showing.
Then > Add an input method > selected QWERTY US International > Add
Then > Remove the 2 keyboards for US and US(Apple)- Parallels

Found I did not need to remap the keyboard in PC5250 to get the session to run correctly, but I did anyway, as I use many remapped keys for everyday work.

had this issue pop up after an update, took a minute to get in the right spot on the windows 8 settings but this worked great just had to add the QWERTY US International keyboard and all is right again.
