Using Parallels for over year now, I've found the most effective way to deal with keyboard mappings between the Mac and Windows guest has been to remove the default mappings and simply map the Mac Command key to the Windows Control key. This makes the majority of operations across the two OSes consistent. This has worked well under P7 and P8, and works under P9 when in windowed or fullscreen modes. Under Coherence mode however, the mapping seems to be defaulting to something other than what the configuration is showing. One example that I am running into which this is quite painful is marking a message unread in Outlook. The standard hotkey for this is Ctrl+Q. Under fullscreen mode, the message is marked read. Under Coherence, Outlook quits AND Parallels asks whether to shutdown or suspend the guest OS. Based on this it would seem there are multiple issues with the hotkey mapping facility under P9 Coherence. Am I missing something, or should this be filed as a bug report?
