Hi
I'm new to parallels desktop. And while it's astonishing what seems to be possible, I'm frustrated because of bugs that make working impossible.
I've installed windows 8.1 on parallels. Then Microsoft Office. Because I need windows to develop Access DB's.
At first in worked perfectly. YEAHHH!
Then suddenly I had a bad issue where opening Microsoft Access resulted in only showing part of the window. So Access was unusable.
Every once in a while I got to see the entire window and could work. YEAH. But suddenly BANG the problem was back so basically I could'nt work. ARGHHHH!
What was especially frustrating was that all other windows seemed to open perfecty. Only Access didn't....
Well, I followed a help article telling me to deinstall parallels tools and reinstall them.
I WISCH I HAD NEVER DONE THIS.
I deinstalled parallels tools.
Then started the virtual server and clicked on the menu to reinstall. Now windows 8.1 opens a blue message telling me to click here to pick an action for this cd.
BUT WHEN I MOOVE MY MOUSE OVER WINDOWS, IT DISAPPEARS.
I have searched tons of articles relating to similar problems. All start with something like: Start the virtual machine, then do something in Windows (the articles even say this, if the stated problem is, that the mouse doesn't work!!!).
This is not possible. And as there is no working windows key and the F-keys don't work either I don't know how to do anything without the mouse.
I've tried deinstalling parallels and reinstalling. The only thing this helped was that I lost my Windows installation including Microsoft Office and everything else.
Parallels tools is not installed (?!) after reinsalling parallels, and I can't install it inside Windows 8.1 because the mouse can't be used.
Help would be VERY appreciated.
Alex
