Hello, longtime PD user but this is my first real problem. I logged a case about this, but figured I'd post here too. I'm running a Macbook Pro (retina) with a 27" Thunderbolt display, Mavericks up to date, and PD9 build 24172 with a Windows 7 Professional vm, also fully up to date. I've been using this setup for a couple months now with zero issues. This just started yesterday.

Running coherence mode using both the Thunderbolt and the Macbook display, Windows extended to both displays. If I have a Windows window maximized on the Macbook display (Outlook or Word for example), activating Mission Control crashes everything. There is no error message at all. The vm is simply stopped cold, and all Mac applications stopped, the Finder resets and any Mac apps that were running are started again. Parallels is not restarted.

As long as the Windows windows are NOT maximized, I can use MC without a problem. But as soon as I have a window maximized, MC crashes everything. Also if I'm using just the Macbook by itself without the thunderbolt, MC works fine even with windows maximized. Anyone seen this before? Thanks.

I have exactly the same issue with a new mbp retina 15" with Parallels 8 and OSX 10.9 , when I work with an external 23" display.

If I maximize the window in the external display it works correctly some times, but if I maximize in mbp screen parallels always crashes and all OSX applications restart including finder.

Sometimes when Parallels crashes show me the message that there is and old instance of Parallels running.

I have reinstalled OSX, I have tried to upgrade to PD 9 and neither works, I get the same error again and again.

    Any solution?

Quite a few are experiencing this as there are a lot of different threads on this subject but Parallels don't seem interested in fixing this. Coupled with the screen offset bug for external monitors, it's seriously hampering productivity for me now and I'm seriously considering giving the competition another go.
