Any ideas for this? I've got a user with a 30" Cinema display attached to a laptop, and Coherence is having issues due to the very large screen res. After maxing out the VRAM slider to 64MB, it worked better, but still isn't high enough res. Is there a way to get Parallels to allocate more than 64MB?
Any plans to add that? Or is there another fix for the issue with 30" Cinema's attached to laptop systems?
Are there any plans to add support for this? I really, really like coherence (and it works great for me on the road when I don't have my 30" attached), however when working at home, I can't sacrifice the max resolution of the 30" display for coherence. I have a MacBook Pro w/ 256 MB vram, so I know I have enough vram for the job (and I know the OSX OGL driver isn't using anywhere near enough VRAM to fill that up while I'm running parallels, not to mention the fact that OSX has a virtualized VRAM model anyway, so the size of VRAM shouldn't matter all that much (aside from perf, and certain really intense uses, which this would not qualify as)). NOTE: I can get it to work w/ my 30" if I up the VRAM to 64MB, and drop the 30" resolution to 2048x1536, I just can't get it to work in 2560x1600, which is what I really need. Heck, I'd even be willing to restrict parallels to only running on the laptop screen (with a res of 1680x1050) if that would get it to work. I use Outlook in coherence mode, and that one thing alone made Parallels 2x more valuable to me than w/o coherence mode. Thanks again for a great product (and here's hoping for an even greater product )!
