I have a new MacBook Pro. I loaded from a full back up on Time Machine from my old iMac.

My VM of Windows XP is working fine but the VM of Windows 7 has a question mark instead of the start button. When I click on it it says:

The Virtual Machine is not available

"The virtual machine's files have been moved or deleted. If the files are on an external device, reconnect the device. You can also remove the virtual machine from the list or manually locate its files."

How can I restore that VM to what was on my iMac.

Was the Windows 7 VM Bootcamp based? If it was, TM can't back it up.

Navigate to where the .pvm is (likely ~/Documents/Parallels) and double-click on it.

    The Parallels folder is empty.

There is a Virtual PC List folder that has a file Windows XP Professional.vpc7
