My wife and I each have MACs and both are a part of a home network. I use OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) and she uses OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). Both of us have a Windows XP VM created by Parallels. In my case I use build 9.0.24172 and in her case it's build 8.0.18608. Now, with that out of the way, here's the problem. We each have a folder or two set up to be shared on the network and in the past each of us could see the other's shared folders but now we can't. This might have started happening when I upgraded to Mavericks but I don't know. Does anyone have any suggestions or similar experiences?
Hi, Please updated Parallels Desktop for Mac to the latest build and update Parallels Tools in the Windows Virtual Machine. To do so, follow the steps outlined below: 1. To update Parallels Desktop to latest build: http://kb.parallels.com/111603 2. To re-install Parallels Tools in a Virtual Machine: http://kb.parallels.com/4841 Thanks, Looran
Looran, about 10 minutes after I posted above I reinstalled Parallels for Mac 9 and it worked. The folders and desktop from the Mac are shared with the Windows 7 VM. Thanks for the suggestion, though, so others can benefit from it. Margaret
