After sometime of not running Parallels on my Mac (my back-up after a crash put me back at 10.5 for some time and then I just did without for a year or so) I would like to get it up and running again. I don't know which version of Parallels I was running. When I try to open the program I get no response. How do I find out the version and whether it is still viable in this environment? I don't have physical discs. much appreciated, Sean
Hello Sean, Please follow the steps as suggested at : http://kb.parallels.com/4923 to find out the version of Parallels Desktop that you are using. If you are unable to find the version of Parallels Desktop or if you face difficulties in finding the version of Parallels Desktop, you may send us a private message with the email address that you used to register the copy of Parallels Desktop that you are using, so that we could check on our records and help you in finding out the same. You may also check out Parallels Desktop and Mac OS (Host) compatibility at http://kb.parallels.com/114381
When I click the icon to open the program, absolutely nothing happens so there is no way to access the submenus that [...]4923 refers to. As for the compatibility, I had it installed on OS 10.6.8 before so we should be ok there. I wasn't sure if my version of Parallels was still available in the case I need to download/reinstall it. I will try the private message route. Thank you, Maheeshwar. Sean
