hello, so here is my scenario: i had PD7 with OSX 10.7. and i was running several VMs (in full screen, no coherence, no modality) without any troubles switching between them and the mouse got directly the focus. e.g. i was in a windows 8 machine, swapped to another VM and could directly scroll e.g. in my outlook inbox without even clicking into it. however: i upgrade now to mavericks 10.9.2 and PD9: after the installation i had instantly problems with the focus: when i switched between a VM i couldn't scroll in the current VM and when i clicked something the OSX mouse point was active and i still wasn't able to scroll or use standard mouse actions properly. i had to click wildly around and somehow the mouse pointer returned to the windows cursor and the focus(?) was correct. i downloaded yesterday the update for PD9 - nothing changed. however, i found a somehow for me OK workaround: whenever i switched from one VM to another one i moved the mouse cursor on the top of the screen (like i was trying to release the vm with CTRL+ALT) and the focus was suddenly OK. that was somehow ok to work with. unfortunately: today i got a new screen and i attached it to the macbook pro and set it up that the macbook pro was the main screen and i could move windows to the screen. now the behavior was totally weird: i switch to a VM i have to move my mouse pointer to the other screen, move it to the top and back to the macbook and the mouse pointer was normal and focus was correct. but this is already a real pain to work with. even worse: i de-attached now the monitor again and now my first workaround doesnt work anymore. i tried already all options regarding smart mouse, nothing works. i am using only the touchpad. i removed P-tools and installed it again. please HELP ME, working now is almost impossible as i have to click wildly after switching in a VM to somehow get rid of the OSX mouse pointer and "set the focus" correctly. thanks a lot
Had similiar issues. Help: http://kb.parallels.com/4841 It is important to remove parallels tools in the windows vm: do not use the parallels-functionality to reinstall parallels tools. I hope this helps!
