    Hi,

Wondering if Parallels 9 Coherence mode is capable of mounting Windows Network File share(mapped drive(s) under windows) on to the Mac Desktop? This is possible the other way around, where mac smb is listed in the windows VM.

Is there a work around that will allow us to utilize coherence mode to mount the windows network share(s) onto the Mac Desktop?

Let me know if I can clarify my question...

    Thanks,
    WintoMac

    Hi WintoMac,

Please follow the steps as suggested below:

    Work around:
    1. Enable sharing: Go to VM Configure (http://kb.parallels.com/117287) > Options > Sharing > Enable Shared Profile to share Mac user folders With Windows.
    2. Create Desktop shortcuts for mapped drives on the Windows Desktop.
    3. Restart Windows Virtual Machine.
    4. Switch to coherence once Windows restarted and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Ram,

the Parallel link worked great...is there anyway to mount it so 3rd party apps like photoshop can access the windows network share through coherence to open up a file? Photoshop or scripts won't be able to browse through a link. Being able to Mount it will solve our user's problem.
