I have 98SE (If I have to use Windows I prefer this flavor) and have used it with Workstation 2.1 since Beta 4. At first it had no sound and that was fixed in Beta 5, but now in Beta 6 the install tools aren't working and just hang. If you 'End Task" them and reboot manually they show up as installed but cause boot errors when it can't find some shell file and it also doens't show up in the system tray. At that point you are also unable to re-install or uninstall them. Bad situation. The only option I know is to format and reinstall Windows, which I've now done 3 times.

    Any ideas?

I can confirm this on both Windows 98SE and Windows 95 OSR2.

I've had the same experience with Windows98, but have found that most features seem to work despite the hang during installation and error message on reboot.

I get good speed, 1024x768 resolution, internet works and I can share files by enabling file sharing in Windows.

I haven't tried any USB devices. Sound doesn't work. Shared folders don't work.
