I don't know how and why but I am not receiving the mouse events of button 4 and 5 in the vm (usually used for history back and forward). It worked already in the past but now it is lost. I checked with xev so I am sure the events are not available. I can see the scrolling and button 1-3. Do you have an idea to what this might be related? I already tried to change the mouse protocol in xorg.conf without any change. I also checked and changed the mouse settings in the machine setup but nothing helps. Hi Thomas, If your mouse is connected as USB, please follow the below steps: On the Top Mac menu bar select Devices -> USB -> Enable the mouse by selecting it. Now try to work with the other buttons as well in the Virtual Machine.
Hello Abdul, thanks for your suggestion. I tested this, but this is not the behaviour I want. Further more the mouse integration got totally broken after I selected USB. The mouse is absolutely caught in the machine and is very buggy. So I had to uncheck this again. Luckily after unchecking the USB support the buttons worked again. So somewhat is happening there.
