Hi, running parallels 9 on Mavericks (both updated).

Randomly when parallels is running - my Mac Mini mid 2011 2.3ghz with 8GB Ram will freeze crash and the screen will go to tiny little squares like in the attached pic.

The machine is totally unresponsive, can't access remotely etc when this happens.

I have changed over to a different Mac Mini - so it's not the hardware as far as I can tell, and i have unplugged USB devices too.

Anyone seen anything like this or have an idea on where to start to find what is causing it or how to fix?

Hate to tell you, but I'm pretty sure this is hardware. Running a VM heats up the GPU and could cause these types of graphical glitches if there is something wrong with the GPU. You say you "have changed over to a different Mac Mini". Are you saying it doesn't happen on the second machine? If so, that even further points to hardware on the first machine.

It was happening on an older Mac Mini, replaced it with the one I'm using now and still having issues, so unless I got 2 bad GPU's...

Any ideas on how to stress test a GPU in OSX to see if that is it?
