I'm running two macs on mavericks, using parallels 9 and windows 8.1 I need to be able to share my quickbooks company file with the second computer, but when searching for the other computer inside windows, its not there. I've gone through and made sure to check all the boxes in the sharing tab inside the configuration menu, but I'm starting to get pretty annoyed.
I suspect that your network in the vm is set to shared instead of bridge? Change it to bridge so the machines can see each other on the network.
That was exactly the fix. I shouldve posted saying i got it taken care of. But thanks a bunch for the fix anyway!
