Hi. I am running Mavericks 10.9.4 and have just installed Parallels 9.

When I try to create a VM using a 10.6.6 install DVD a pop up window says that this is not supported. Reading the website it says that it is - how can I get this VM started?

    Thank you.

    Hello Pheadrus,

Are you trying to install the server edition of Mac OS X 10.6.X on your Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac ?

My laptop was recently stolen and my new one is running Mavericks which doesn't support some of the applications I have on my time machine backup (something to do with Rosetta files???). I was hoping to use the disc that I was given with my last laptop (Mac OS X Install DVD 10.6.6) by loading it on to Parallels and access my old applications that way.

Not even sure if this is possible - but am hoping I don't have to go to the expense (both time and monetary) to update some apps that are very useful to me.

Also, I read on another part of the forum that I won't be able to drag and drop files from Mavericks to Parallels 9 running Snow Leopard - is this correct? Will I have to install the files directly from my back-up?

    Thanks for any input.
