I 'm migrating an old real machine to a virtual machine at a hosting company who does not have native IPv6. I want to run
an IPv6 tunnel the same as on the real hardware, but the regular incantations won't work.

I found http://kb.parallels.com/en/696 which explains how to get TUN working, and verified that on an openvz machine to which I have host root access, using http://tb-tun.googlecode.com . But most of the IPv6 tunnel schemes use SIT - on the openvz host, the sit module is installed but in the container, I cannot bring up the sit0 interface. I have to run a userspace process to open /dev/net/tun

Is it possible to enable sit for the container ?

Sorry that I react so late and probably my reply is also outdated, but I'll do my best to explain to you how this can be achieved although it's not as easy as it seems at first sight and I'm sorry in advance if my reply is not the one you expected from me. Anyway, if you want all information on Virtuozzo, then It might be a good idea to just follow the link that I have placed in this answer.
