Recent updates have caused Parallels to not work

    Hi guys, my first post, as Parallels has always worked without problems.

    I recently installed Windows Updates and this has caused Parallels/Windows 7 to operate inefficiently. I have the following issues, and am unable to resolve:
    • The clock on Windows 7 is always out of sync. Even when resetting it, it will continue out of sync after an hour or so.
    • I am unable to open programs such as a Word document on the Mac folders by clicking them, and always have to open them from the Windows application by the file>open settings.
    • I cannot any longer copy on my mac and paste on my VM Windows 7.
    All settings within the 'configure' menu appear to be as they should be.

    I have contacted Parallels direct and raised a new support case but await their response. I have also upgraded to Parallels 10 in an effort to see if this will cure the problems but it has not.

    Any help would be gratefully received.

    Hi,

    Please re-install Parallels Tools: when virtual machine is running: Click Actions -> Reinstall Parallels Tools (for Parallels Desktop 10)
    Click Virtual Machine -> Reinstall Parallels Tools (for lesser versions of Parallels Desktop)

    Thanks for your help - all now seems to be working again after reinstalling Parallels tools.
