Parallels 10 crash dump while convert VMware Fusion 7 VM

the vmware disk is a 64GB splitted in 2GB files (no disk errors, no snapshots, halted vm)
workaround: unspilt vmdk before converting...

I've run into the same issue. I am unable to convert a vmware 7 vm to Parallels 10. I get a 41300 error. I've tried every kb instructions to convert it but hasn't worked.
I've tried via CLI using these commands:
/Applications/Parallels\ Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS/prl_convert /<path to .vhd> --no-src-check --no-reconfig
/Applications/Parallels\ Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS/prl_convert /Volumes/500gb\ 1/WIN-8.VHD --no-src-check --no-reconfig

None of these worked. Any other tips to make this happen?

I followed all steps in the "resolution" section to no avail. I was able to convert my VMWare Fusion 7.0 image to Parallels 10 after I used the recommended terminal command.
