Running Parallels 10 on a new retina MBP 15 16GB RAM with a Win8.1 VM - 2 CPUs, 8GB RAM and 64GB GPU allocated. rMBP CPU temps get close to 95degrees while the VM is largely idle. rMBP CPU utils is around 50%, and the VM CPU util is 100% always according to Windows Task Manager (I assume that's a feature of the virtualisation setup). Not much in the way of fan action from the rMBP These temps seem high - at least compared to a more traditional windows desktop. I've never checked temps on a Windows laptop to compare. Can anybody comment on their own experience with the same/similar setup please? TIA Rich [edit for monkey fingers]
