I use Parallels for Office, ProShow Gold and Sony Vegas. Office runs fine. But ProShow Gold and Vegas are unusable. These programs worked fine prior to the Parallels upgrade I bought when Yosemite came out. Please help. I'm going to have to try other solutions.

Add Quicken and Quickbooks to the problem list.

    This worked for me!!!

    sudo nvram boot-args="debug=0xd4e"

I found it in another thread here. Run that in Terminal, using your password. Reboot. Like Magic!

Yes, I saw this claimed fix last night. I too have tried it and it does appear to have done the trick for my machine at least. No problems even after full reboot. :D

Good to hear this solution is still working. Are you on a mid 2011 iMac?

Yes, mid-2011 i5 running 20 gigs of RAM - 6 gig devoted to the Windows 8.1 VM and the recommended 1 core. It appears to be back to normal, though I have found that Avast is taking quite a while to load with more activity from the AV despite the VM being as clean as a whistle.
