What is the easiest way to upgrade and to which version? I bought 8.1, I know I'm an idiot! It won't load at all.
The easiest way to upgrade for XP to Windows 8.1 is to download and use "Windows 8.1 Upgrade Assistant". But remember, you will not be able to keep your settings and files, so back them up. I used Windows Easy Transfer - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/windows-easy-transfer - to move my stuff. It looked like I hadn't changed after installing Win 7 and most of my things were saved and moved.
