    Hi:
I can't seem to figure out how to get XP Pro to finish installing. Gets stuck in the same place after man View attachment 9720 y tries. I followed whatever suggestion I could find including creating an iso image to install from. Please see the image. I use some older applications that newer versions of Windows do not support so any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks.

I also contacted Microsoft. They completely retired any and all support for xp, including any updates for the xp os. I think the only way to get around it is to attempt to get it installed with sp III on a separate pc, then try bringing it over. I'll post if I can get that together. I really need to run some earlier programs that aren't recognized by Windows 7 or 8. I'll let you know if I find a solution.JP

    Hello John,
As we will have to do certain changes with the Virtual machine configuartion , please stop the installation of Windows XP.
Restart the installation of Windows XP as in the KB article http://kb.parallels.com/4729 , at step 6, please enable "Customize settings before installation"
Then click on Continue and select Hardware --> CPU & Memory --> Under CPUs , choose "1". Close the Window.
And continue with the installation & check how it works!
