    Hello,
I've been having an issue with my Parallels installation (on multiple machines) for quite some time. It seems that whenever I start a Parallels VM, the virtual network interfaces supersede the DNS configuration of the host machine.
Basically until I quit Parallels, manually disable the "Parallels Shared #0" and "Parallels Host-Only #1", and flush my DNS cache, hostname resolution always resolves incorrectly to the IP address from the virtual network interfaces.

For instance, pinging the machine prior to Parallels running returns:
    PING pinnacle.local (10.0.1.2): 56 data bytes
    64 bytes from 10.0.1.2: icmp_seq=0 ttl=64 time=0.090 ms

    After starting Parallels:
    PING pinnacle.local (10.211.55.4): 56 data bytes
    64 bytes from 10.211.55.4: icmp_seq=0 ttl=64 time=0.076 ms

Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated. Once this problem occurs, I cannot access any other machine on the network via hostname.
