Hello, I noticed that the native Time Machine app in the Mac OS will only backup the Apple partition -- it will not backup the Windows partition which the Parallels VM operates. I am wondering if anyone knows a software that can backup the entire computer at once.
Hi Andrew, You can use Time Machine backup on your Mac to backup Parallels Virtual Machine's also. Parallels Desktop for Mac includes improved integration with the Time Machine. Please follow the instructions suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/8827 and check how it works.
Wait. You mean Time Machine backups will not backup Parallels VM's unless the option is picked in http://kb.parallels.com/8827 ?
Hi PTTurboe, Yes, if you would like to have Time Machine Back up to back up your Virtual machine , as suggested in the Knowledge Base article http://kb.parallels.com/8827 , you should have the option "Do not backup with Time machine" unchecked.
Hello Ramya - thanks. That has always been on - I just double checking. My MBP is getting ready to crash and needs to be fixed. If you Restore or Migrate do you have to re-input all of the Microsoft Keys?
