Using a MacBook Pro 15" Late 2013, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, McOSX 10.10.2. Just installed Parallels Desktop update to ver. 10.2.0 (28956). Running Windows 8.1. Now every time I shut down Windows, or restart Windows, or just log out and back in, Windows changes its screen resolution to 1680 x 1050 (if in full screen mode). This is far too low to be usable. If I change it to a higher resolution (within Windows), it always changes back after a restart, log out, or shut down. My Mac resolution is set to 1680 x 1050 (scaled). This did not happen with earlier versions of Parallels.
Hi Halberstadt, please follow the steps suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/116141 and let us know how does it work.
Thanks, Ram; that did work. I am confused however by the explanation that Dynamic Resolution (which the referenced article tells you to disable) sets the virtual Windows screen to the same resolution as the host. In my case, the Windows resolution was being set MUCH lower than the host's. Bill Halberstadt
