From the moment I first installed Parallels 9 on my Macbook Pro, without actually starting the program, I lost WiFi connectivity for my browsers ..yes, I use several and they were ALL equally affected.
I could ping, or print to my wireless printer, but nothing that required https.
Though I could still connect via ethernet. For a while.
Then, as the Parallels virus spread through my system I lost ethernet connectivity as well, along with the use of my ExpressCard USB 3 card.
I traced some of the issues to the nttpd protocol, and other parts to the SSL transport layer, NVRAM, and other places Parallels has NO BUSINESS touching!
As my only internet access is via my ipad, the support suggestions that I download this or that piece of software has been less than helpful.
My attempts to open a trouble ticket have been rejected because, as far as I can tell, my ipad doesn't meet some requirement.
As Parallels has mucked about with low level hardware reinstalling from pre-Parallels backups has NOT resolved anything.
The reason I'm typing all this here is that it seems the only way to warn people about this product, or maybe, just maybe get the attention of somebody at Parallels. I certainly haven't had any success with my other attempts!
