looking in parallels applications folder I see apparent multiple copies of some applications same size and date.

At some point in past I clicked a wrong button ending up with 3 virtual machine options when I start up, only one of which works
Something like window Xp, windows xp(1), windows xp(1)(1)
    Only the last works

How best to remove duplicate apps and non working vm entries on startup screen

    Thanks

    Hi Bill,
Please check the size of the .pvm files and then try to launch Windows from the .pvm file. Windows XP(1) is nothing but copy of Windows XP. So please check the size of the Windows XP(1).pvm and if it appears to be same, yes you can go ahead and move the files to trash.
Or you might have the .pvm files corrupted but in order to access the data you might have mapped the Hard Drive to the working Windows Virtual Machine. So please make sure you do not loose any data while deleting the Virtual Machine.
