font too small in panes running Volvo VADIS

parallels 10 running xp on rMBP. The font in the two panes for Volvo VADIS are small . When I tried changing screen resolution per instructions, i.e. scaling, the right pane disappears with parts listing and the left pane with parts drawing is too big. i tired different resolutions in xp display control panel and cannot make it look like my xp machine.

well not that one as that is not for xp, but i did follow instructions I found for xp. Just could not make it work.

Please try disabling DirectX and check how it works.
Open virtual machine configure >> Hardware >> 3D Acceleration >> Disable DirectX

 

3d acceleration option does not appear. is it because I am using trial version?

 

@stevey1 Is the virtual machine turned off while you were trying to disable DirectX?
The virtual machine should be shut down while making any changes.

 

I tried it both ways. Just now by clicking on the cog symbol. I do not see 3D acceleration
