I know it's possible. But how do I port my Windows XP Boot Camp partition to a Parallels virtual machine? Is the Parallels Transporter app meant for this? I saw a thread here on this and it's extremely complicated. Wonder if there's a simpler and easier method. Otherwise I will have to the way I only know. Create a new VM and install Windows XP from scratch.

Lets be honest - assuming that you've got all the install CDs, registration codes etc. for your key software then this solution has a lot going for it. A heavily used windows installation needs decoking every 6-12 months anyway, and you'll get rid of all the Boot Camp drivers that you don't need for VM use.

(Remember to do a "snapshot" as soon as you have the system configured the way you like it!)
