hi, i'm currently using Bootcamp & Windows 8.1 but am looking at moving to Parallels - couple of questions:

    1) Can I move without having to reinstall Windows 8.1, I no longer have the CD and have lost the hard copy of the windows key
    2) Will I have to reinstall Microsoft Office? Have also lost the key for this too

    Thanks

ok so I've downloaded the trial and see I can use Bootcamp as an option.
It's a bit slower than I expected, is this the best way to operate? Or can I do a "Migrate from a PC option" and not go via bootcamp?

    Hi jb_,
Boot Camp is a feature of Mac OS X that lets you boot your Mac into Windows. If you have already installed Windows on your Mac using Boot Camp, you can set Parallels Desktop to work with Boot Camp using either of the following options:
Option 1: Set Parallels Desktop to run Windows from the Boot Camp partition:
A virtual machine is created from the existing Boot Camp partition on your Mac. This allows you to run Mac OS X and your BootCamp Windows installation simultaneously.
You no need to reinstall Microsoft Office application in Bootcamp Based Windows Virtual Machine again. Everything will be shared.
Please refer http://kb.parallels.com/112941 to know how to transfer Bootcamp Windows into Parallels Desktop.
