Just discovered that my "Start Work" script now can't start my VM after upgrading to Parallels Desktop 11. Instead it reports that this features requires the Pro version. This does not seem to be mentioned in their comparison documents anywhere. I did not go to pro because there seemed to be no compelling reason to do so. Unfortunately it seems Parallels have decided to remove features from the basic version to make the case for the Pro version more attractive.

Hahah wow, oh boy. Yet another crippled feature! So the list continues:

    • RAM limit reduced to 8GB
    • CPU limit reduced to 4
    • Removal of snapshots
    • Removal of linked clones
    • Removal of MacLook feature
    • Command line features crippled
I'll keep a running list, because Parallels doesn't seem to think it's necessary to spell this out anywhere on their site.
