    Hi,
For a few months I have tried to change the RAM usage on my MAC Retina 5K Yosemite with Parallels 10.2.2 running Windows 7.
I understand about shutting down the virtual program and then opening the control center. I just cannot open Parallels to use the control center without having the hardware box tell me that the numbers cannot be changed until the virtual machine is shut down. I have read http://kb.parallels.com/en/113649 and just can see how to open the control center without starting Parallels which in turn starts windows.
I have 24gb of RAM on my MAC and it is using just 1gb for Windows and runs slow. I need to increase the about and also, see how to increase the video card usage as the screen is unusually small on the Retina Screen.

Thank you for any help you can give.

    Elliot

Hi @ElliotL1, please try the following steps:
    1. Start Parallels Desktop, but do not start your Windows VM
If you Parallels Desktop starts with Parallels Desktop app please shut your VM down
    2. Then please click on the Windows VM window (like on screenshot)
    3. Then you will be able to click on the Actions menu and choose "configurations" and change the VM
