Parallels Download permanent or temporary?

Hi, I'd like to know if I buy Parallels, do I get it forever? Or do I have to keep paying a fee annually?

Parallels Desktop standard version does not require an annual fee, Parallels Desktop Pro edition is subscription-based yearly fee is required to continue the subscription.

depends really. if you upgrade OS X regularly, or upgrade windows hosts, you'll be upgrading parallels regularly.

parallels pretty much tells you "os x version ??.?? is not a supported host for parallels version ?. you have to upgrade to the newest version." or "windows version ? is not a supported guest os in parallels version ??. you have to upgrade to the newest version."

now it's even worse. "oh that feature you used in parallels 10? yeah that was moved from the "we only had one version - a one-time-purchase" to the subscription version. pay us forever to get that button back."
