I wanted to uninstall Parallels in prep for installation of El Capitan. Following what I thought was a correct procedure I dragged the DMG file to the trash and deleted the trash and rebooted. But I still seem to have Parallels taking up room and looking I found the Icon for launching it which I did. Now I have a window with NEW VIRTUAL MACHINE and various options. I expect Windows 7 is gone..which is okay. But I don't see any options for removing the product. Where can I go from here?
I think I may have inadvertently fixed this issue. As it turns out El Capitan had been installed previously .. without my knowledge. So of course V9 of Parallels would not run under that os. So I deleted the Parallels Desktop after shutting it down and the space was freed up. I guess I over complicated the processs.
