    Good afternoon,
I am running Parallels 11 with a Windows XP installation. In an attempt to resolve being unable to drag and drop files between windows and the mac (which still does not work), I reinstalled Parallels tools by uninstalling them through "add and remove programs" in Windows and then installing them again via the Actions menu in Parallels. After restarting the virtual machine after installation of the tools, I now have no internet connection in Windows, though the internet is fine on my mac. On the mac I connect to the internet via a wireless connection through an AirPort router/modem.

I have verified that "shared network" is selected. Network 1 shows up in the list under Hardware in configuration, as does a Mac address under "Advanced Settings", and NIC type is "Legacy". In the Control Panel in Windows, I see that there is a network "connection" called "Local Area Connection 6" that does say it is connected, and below that says "Parallels Ethernet Adapter #4". After searching through the forums here, I also tried the "sudo" command on the Mac side that had been suggested in other threads about internet connectivity, but that did not resolve the problem.

To reiterate, the internet in Windows was working yesterday morning before reinstalling Parallels tools to try to fix another problem, but since installation, I have no internet connection at all. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi, please uninstall Microsoft security essentials application from Windows virtual machine and then check the internet connectivity. If the issue persists, plz try this article.
