After upgrade to Mac OS/X 10.11.1 Windows 10 VM is extremely slow and Windows key does not work

The VM was snappy and working fine before the OS update was applied. Now, I can't get the Windows menu to open, the Windows key does not work, Windows explorer takes 30 seconds + to open and the Windows OS is generally slow. This is Parallels 11.

If you are unable to open the start menu, try following the steps as given at : http://kb.parallels.com/123375 and check if it helps you to resolve the issue.
To improve the performance of the VM, refer the article : http://kb.parallels.com/112091 and check how it goes!

 

I'm experiencing the same thing.

 

Odd. All I did was upgrade Mac OS/X but apparently my Windows profile tile data database was corrupted. The fix was indeed http://kb.parallels.com/123375. This also fixed the problem with very slow Windows explorer. Thanks Maheesh.
