I have a Macbook Pro 15" mid 2014 running Parallels 11 with Windows 10. I'm a student Industrial Product Design so I use heavy design programs such as Siemens NX 10 and several Autodesk programs. But my macbook lags ridiculous when i'm running Autodesks Showcase. It's really slow and I can't even add a background (cfr. uploaded picture). My current settings are 4 cores at 12gig ram. Anyone who can help my out?
Hello Pon, please try the steps mentioned below: Go to Actions > Configure > Options > Optimization > disable Free Space: Real-time Virtual Disk Optimization. Open virtual machine configuration > switch to Options tab > Optimization tab > Set performance to Faster virtual machine; check Enable adaptive hypervisor and Tune Windows for speed. If you're not running on battery power, you can also turn on the Better performance option. Go to Configure > Hardware tab > CPU & Memory increase to the maximum. Please refer to this article.
Hi Paul, first of all thanks for the quick respond. I've disabled real-time virtual disk optimization and it helps a little. It's noticeable! I've set my cpu & memory increase to the recommended maximum of 12g but showcase still has some problems with the background as the picture above but it is a little faster than before. Are there other options I could try?
