Hello out there, i bought a "normal" version parallels desktop 11 after i used versions 5-8. After upgrading a MacBookPro Mid 2010 to ElCapitan and installing the version pd 11 i installed windows 10 in a new virtual machine. Than i copied my other vm to the MacBookPro. In no configuration i find the option "undo disk" (rollback)! The support told me, it is gone in the normal version and now only in the pro version available. IS THAT TRUE ???? I use parallels in university to show the differences between the microsoft operation systems and the office products and many students followed me, using parallels. But one of the most reasons of using a virtual machine is gone?
Hello Dirk, In the Parallels Desktop 11 we have moved the Roll back mode to the Parallels Desktop Pro edition. Parallels Desktop for Mac Pro Edition is designed for developers, designers, testers and power users.
Hello Paul, nice short answer. My english is nearly bad, so i can`t explain correctly how miserable the parallels companys information is. "The Pro Edition is for....testers...power users". Who is a tester? What is a power user. I use Windows and Office every day as normal workers do in Germany and i use Roll back since there are VMs. And no commend on your homepage that import features has been deleted in the normal version. Really baaad.
... just found out about this # Bought PD Upgrade from 10 to 11 yesterday and don't like this at all, can I get refunded? Regards Frank
Hello Frank, I would be glad to help you. I have sent you a private message requesting for information please check and reply.
You need a "brief explanation of the issue" but you do "understand the importance of the issue"... pretty strange! Well, for an explanation please refer to the thread title: undo disk (rollback) not available in pd 11?
