I have an iMac and a Macbook I'd like to use Parallels on. Simply because I sometimes work at home, sometimes when traveling. However I never use Parallels on both devices at the same time.

Now when I tried to activate the license, the app told me that I can use the license on one machine only and that I need to purchase another license. I don't want to believe this. Can anybody confirm that this is in fact how Parallels handles this?
I mean when I buy an app or music on itunes I can use it on any of my idevices.
So what's the deal here? Like I said before I use Parallels only on one device at a time. Why buy two licenses?

    Hello Concan,
You can move Parallels Desktop license from computer to another by following this article

That wasn't really the question. I know I can transfer the license to another computer but then I'm losing it from the old one.
What I want is use the Parallels license on two computers but never at the same time. I want to use it on my desktop when I work at home and I want to use it on the laptop when traveling. But of course I don't want to buy two licenses for that. I'm only ONE user, why should I need TWO licenses of the same product?
