My Vista virtual machine has some hick-ups.

I can't resize the window with proper rescaling. It just gets smaller and the ratio is fixed. The resolution is the same as my 27" screen.

The W10 virtual machine works perfectly and it doesn't matter if the W10 is shut off or running.

    Hi Peranders,
    1. Please follow this article and set your resolution to scaled.
    2. Also see this article to set custom resolution.

It won't work I'm afraid. I can change the resolution within Windows but not by resizing the window. Coherence mode doesn't work either.

    Follow the steps suggested below:
    1. Start Parallels Desktop.
    2. Go to your virtual machine's Configuration > Options tab > Full Screen.
    3. From the Scale to fit screen drop-down list choose Keep ratio - Restart Windows and let us know how it goes.

    Problem solved :)
I reinstalled the Parallel Tools for the Vista installation. It solved a couple of problems. It solved this problem completely.
