hdd file corruption

    It looks like ".hdd is corrupt" is a huge problem. I think I've read all posts regarding this matter but I still can't find a clear cut solution. KB 459 is of no use, my current .xml file contains only the following and I quote.

    "sometime i'll remove this warn and just set the PID here"

    If KB 459 does not work whats the next step?

    If this is such a problem where is the fix?

    Any help would be great.

    I right clicked the .hdd and showed package content but I don't see any .lck????

    Looks like I've got it back again, I gave 459 one last shot and it worked.

    windows blue screen on boot

    says image possibly corrupt - but flashes sooooo fast i cannot give full messge.

    then cycles and tries rebooting - round and round we go.

    I don't mind re-installing and resetting up - But i urgently need a couple of files out of the hdd file.

    I see referals to Replace oleaut32.dll in repair console - does anyone know exactly how to do this?
