I work for a large company and want to create effectively a PVM file on my copy of Parallels to transfer to another staff members copy of Parallels. Firstly, is this possible? This is because we don't have the time to move someone away from their mac in order to install Windows and all other associated applications due to workload. I need to do this on three macs, so time is of the essence. Secondly, if this can be done, how does the Windows Activation work? If it is already activated on the .pvm file (virtual machine) then will it still be activated once transferred? Help would be gratefully appreciated.
Yes, Mark. You can create Window virtual machine and move .pvm to your external hard disk. OS X does not support writing to NTFS partitions by default. We recommend to format your external drive to either OS X native HFS+ file system or ExFAT file system (for compatibility with Windows PCs).
