I downloaded a virus program using my Mac. How the heck do I move it from my Mac desktop into Parallels/Windows?

download it again in the VM

or just put it in the sharing folders and run the installer from there

Excuse my ignorance, but how do I get it into the sharing folder?

Have you tried dragging the downloaded file from the Mac desktop to the Windows desktop?

Just drag the file into the shared folder in OS X. When you open the shared folder in Windows, the file will automatically appear in it.

shared folders are one of the most important assets of PD
    take time to learn them

    see
    Menu Devices

I add all the Mac hard disks and under users >> my username >> the desktop folder

keep all your data in shared folders because it is safer than in the VM and will stop the VM getting bloated

Mine didn't work for ages. Then I worked out that I hadn't been updating Parallels Tools in my XP VM when installing new versions of Parallels. Most embarrassing it would have been if anyone had noticed.
