Is there any reason I shouldn't be able to create an alias to the Parallels program?

If I right-click on it, there is no create-alias command. It's permissions seem to be set to read-only, unlike most other applications. It's also in the "wheel" group rather than the "admin" group. Would anything bad happen if I change the permissions match those of ofther applications?

Parallels wants to be the Big Wheel huh? :)

Try Ctrl-Option-Apple(Command) and click-and-hold on Parallels. Then Drag the alias created to
    where you want it.

I created a small little applescript that changes my Virtue Desktop, then launches parallels.

If you only have one VM, and in the VM editor you check off for it to auto launch then this is the way to go (at least it was for me)
