    I have to boot Yosemite into single user mode to run fsck. How do I get there? Cmd + S is not recognized, Boot Volumes do not shop up with Option-Key pressed...

    I'm not sure whether this is described anywhere, but this can be done by specifying Parallels System Flag in the VMConfiguration-> Hardware -> Boot Order
    devices.mac.boot_args="-s"
    PS: It is also possible to specify any other boot_args like
    devices.mac.boot_args="-s -v"

    ElliotS1 and DonMontalvoCA like this.

    This was a huge lifesaver today: devices.mac.boot_args="-s"
